Meet The Team Monday, Introducing Danny!

Danny plays a huge role within our ever-growing electrical department at Refresh NI as our Qualified Supervisor.

Danny has been part of the team for 8 months now and carries out a range of services such as Electrical Testing, EV Charger Installation, and Battery Storage Installation.

We asked Danny some questions about his career, as well as some light-hearted questions, to help you get to know him better!

Starting with a bit of background… Tell us Danny, how did you get to where you are now?

”At 16, I left school and began my apprenticeship to become an electrician.

I got a placement at JMC Mechanical and Construction, I was fortunate to stay on after my apprenticeship and worked for that company for around 8 years. I then got a great offer to work for ETR Electrical where I worked for 2 years, where I was able to further develop my understanding of electrical testing and inspection.

For the last 8 months, I have been working for Refresh NI as a QS/Electrician. I was more than happy to start Refresh NI as I know Refresh provide such a professional service to their clients.”

So far, What has been your biggest accomplishment since working at Refresh NI?

”Right now, my biggest accomplishment since working at Refresh NI would be completing our first NICEIC assessment.”

If you could swap places with someone in Refresh for the day, who would it be and why?

”I would like to swap places with Bill, the Managing Director, so I can fully understand what it takes to run a successful company.”

When you’re not at work, what do you get up to?

”I complete 5km runs and spend quality time with my wife and daughter.”

If someone made a movie about your life, what would it be called?

”You’re not you when your hungry.”

Speaking of being hungry… If you could have dinner with someone living or dead, who would it be?

”Kevin Hart!”

If you weren’t an electrician, what would you be and why?

”A paramedic, because I would enjoy helping others in time of need. Also, the job itself would be interesting as there would be something different every day!”

What advice would you give to your younger self?

”Keep working, hard work pays off!”

Tell us, what are you proud of?

”I am proud of what I have achieved in life – having a good job, owning my own house, getting married and having a beautiful daughter.”

Finally, what are the top three things on your ‘bucket list’

1. Travel America

2. See the Northern Lights

3. Run a marathon
