Making The Switch More Affordable – Oil To Gas Grants 2025/26

The upfront cost of installing a new gas boiler can be a concern. However, grant schemes are now available, helping to make the switch to gas more affordable.  

Phoenix Energy Saver 60: This grant is available to NI homeowners over 60 who want to make the move from oil to gas. If eligible, you could get £400 cashback to help you replace your boiler with a new high efficiency natural gas heating system. To avail of this offer, claimants must employ a Gas Safe registered installer who is also registered with Phoenix. Affordable Warmth Scheme: This grant is available to NI homeowners and private tenants with a total gross income of less than £23,000.  This grant offers a whole home solution including windows, doors, insulation, and heating upgrades.
