As 2023 comes to an end, we are taking a look back over the past 12 months to reflect on an incredible year here at Refresh NI. From fresh new faces to brand new products and services, come with us as we recap a successful and exciting year… 

Launched a new strapline

By the end of 2022 our range of services had expanded to whole house solutions, allowing our customers to improve their home’s energy efficiency in various ways, through a single contractor. So in early 2023, we thought it was the perfect time to launch our brand new strapline:

“Your one-stop-shop for a greener home.” 

We turned 2!

In April, we celebrated two years of Refresh. To mark the occasion and celebrate the achievements of the past two years we enjoyed a big team day out.

Appointed our very first Technical Director

2023 was a great year for growth and expansion here at Refresh, including the growth of our Management Team, as we appointed our first ever Technical Director, Josh. 

Launched new products and services

This year we expanded our one-stop-shop capabilities with the introduction of heat pumps to our green home heating solutions. Additionally, this past Autumn we added the EVEC charger to our EV range, providing a fully functional and affordable charging option to customers.

Conferences, events and roadshows

In 2023, our team attended lots of great industry events, conferences, and roadshows. To name just a few- in September, Josh, our Technical Director, and Lewis, our Office Administrator, chatted all things EV at the Power NI EV Talk Live Roadshow. While, Bill, our Managing Director, and Jack, our Finance Director, attended the Phoenix Energy Renewable Gas Conference in October.

Received ISO certification and MCS accreditation

In September 2023, we were delighted to be awarded ISO9001 & ISO14001 certification in quality and environmental management for and maintenance of heating systems, electrical works, insulation, solar photovoltaics, heat pump technologies, and EV charger solutions. While later in the year we received full MCS accreditation for heat pump technologies. 

Shortlisted for local awards

We were thrilled to have been shortlisted for two local business awards by the end of 2023. In November, some of our team attended the AIB Business Eye Awards, where we were nominated for the Small Business of the Year award. In December we were shortlisted for the Eastside Award for Business Growth. We are excited to gear up for the glamorous awards ceremony in January 2024, so stay tuned!

Fun team day out

Despite a very busy year at Refresh, we made the time to enjoy a big team day out. As part of our second birthday celebrations, we headed out for lunch and then to Prison Island in Belfast for some adventure, team building and good craic.

As we celebrate our third Christmas at Refresh NI, we are eagerly looking forward to what 2024 will bring. We will continue to provide energy-efficient home improvements throughout Northern Ireland, with lots of great plans for the coming year, including new products, services, and exciting events. We can’t wait to share them with you so stay tuned! For now, we wish all our wonderful customers and clients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
