Mechanical Design Engineer (Re-advertisement)

Play a key role in designing efficient and sustainable home heating systems with Refresh NI.

Job duties include:

• Analyse on-site surveys and reports
• Design detailed and accurate domestic heating solutions using your engineering skills
• Review the effectiveness and efficiency of processes to help improve output
• Project manage through survey, design, and on-site installation
• Any other duties as reasonably requested by management

Person Specification:

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or Building Services
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
  
• Strong interest in renewable technologies and decarbonisation of Northern Ireland’s homes
• Excellent technical skills and a collaborative work style
• Effective communicator
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to self-motivate and work as part of a team without close supervision

In addition, it would be great if you had knowledge of heating systems, low-temperature systems and/or heat pumps. Experience with process improvement methodologies would be useful too.

Electricians

With exciting new opportunities in renewable technologies and long-term secure contracts with major clients, we are seeking to recruit additional electricians to drive this forward.

Qualified to 18th Edition, you will work on EV charger installation, solar PV and battery storage installation as well as private domestic central heating installation and general electrical maintenance. Inspection and Testing qualification would be an advantage, as would an interest in Solar PV.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience of private domestic electrical work

Additional Information

• Company vehicle provided (full clean driving license essential to this role)
• Previous experience of private domestic electrical work is essential.
• Training is provided on EV and Battery storage if required.

Insulators

We are seeking skilled and experienced Insulators to join our team. You will be responsible for installing insulation materials to domestic properties in roof spaces and/or cavity walls.

Job duties include:

• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
• Install insulation in roof spaces or cavity walls (full training given on cavity rig if required)
• Seal gaps and cracks with appropriate materials
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete insulation projects
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
• Collaborate with other team members

Experience:

• Proven experience as an Insulator or similar role
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for insulation installation

Essential Criteria

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
