Meet The Team Monday
Say hello to Stuart Leeper.
Stuart has been part of team Refresh NI since September 2021, Stuart is a senior gas engineer and one of our boiler installation team leaders.
Moreover, Stuart mentors some of our apprentices, allowing them to learn the trade on the job from an experienced professional.
Let’s get into the questions!
Stuart, describe your position at Refresh NI:
”I have been in the industry for a while now, I went to tech for four years and completed my apprenticeship. I then spent one year completing commercial work, but for the last four years I have mainly been working on boilers and completing installs.”
What do you love most about what you do?
”The reward of fixing someone’s broken or faulty boiler.
For example, when a customer phones into the office with no heat or hot water, I love doing what I can to fix the fault, leaving the customer with a fully functioning boiler, with heat and hot water. The customer is always so thankful and delighted with the job, which makes all of the hard work worth it.”
What three items are always in your van?
”A toolbox, my lunch and a trusty apprentice.”
How do you enjoy spending your weekends off work?
”My weekends are best spent with my family and playing a bit of football.”
If the opportunity arose to swap places with someone for the day in Refresh, who would it be and why?
”It would have to be Bill Cherry, I would like to swap with Bill so I could see how he manages the company, more of the behind-the-scenes of the company, and I would love to gain some of the knowledge in his brain, as he really does know everything!”
What would you say is one of your bad habbits?
”One of my bad habits would have to be letting the diesel run too low in the van… It happens too often.”
If you could pick your own apprentice, who would it be?
”I would pick my brother Scott because I could tell him what to do without getting in too much trouble!”
You have been left in control of planning the next staff night out, what are we doing?
”This is a tough one… I would bring everyone axe throwing, I have never been but I think it is something different for everyone to try.”
If you could eat the same thing every day, what would it be?
”A sausage and bacon bap with red sauce, that is something I could eat every single day.”
Finally, if you could be in one movie, what would it be?
”Die Hard.”
