Catherine joined our Office Admin Team back last year and spends the working day taking calls from our customers and Engineers, and keeps the invoice system up to date. When she isn’t at work, Catherine enjoys a long walk somewhere scenic, great food, live music or diving into a good book. Keep reading to learn more about Catherine…

So Catherine, tell us what your role is at Refresh.

“Administrator.”

Tell us what a typical work day looks like for you.

“Most of my time is spent using the Refresh database and putting invoices into the accounting system, as well as taking calls from our engineers and customers.”

What do you like most about working at Refresh?

“My colleagues are so nice and you feel everyone is working together and supporting each other to do a good job.”

What 3 items do you always have on your desk?

“Travel mug, water (which I fail to drink despite my good intentions) and a notebook.  With customers phoning the office there’s a fair bit of jumping between tasks so I have to write everything down to make sure I don’t forget what I’m doing!.”

You’re planning the next staff event, what are we doing?

”Spicy food and live music.  I’m thinking Jumon followed by The Sunflower.”

You’ve won a free holiday, where are you off to?

“I’d love to go to India and do a yoga retreat.”

What is your go to takeaway order?

“Thai food – tofu green curry.”

What is one thing not many people know about you?

“I used to work on an organic farm.”

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

“Maya Angelou – Her books are so brilliant and she always seemed so wise and funny in interviews.”

What is your ideal weekend off work?

“A long walk somewhere lovely like Murlough or Tollymore, reading a good book in front of the fire, gin, dinner and music.”

Dream Job?

“I love to read so I’ve always fancied being a book editor.”

Favourite TV series?

“I like escapist fantasy things like Stranger Things, Sense8 and The Changeling but the best thing I’ve seen in ages is Beef on Netflix.”

Cats or dogs?

”Both! Although I have 2 cats and they are totally awesome.”

Biggest fear?

“I’m not great with wasps!”

Night in or night out?

“Night in.  Going out takes too much planning when you have kids!”
