Should I choose a tethered or untethered electric vehicle charger?
There is no cost difference between a tethered and untethered charging unit. A tethered charger comes with a permanently attached cable so it’s highly convenient and ready to charge when you are. With an untethered charger, the cable is not connected, therefore it takes up much less wall space.
Can I get a charger installed without a driveway?
No. Unfortunately, we can’t install an EV charger at properties with no off-street parking.
Can other people use my charging unit?
You have complete control of who has access to your charging unit. All of the charging units we provide have locking features to restrict access.

Can a normal Electrician install an EV charger?
You should always have a qualified and approved Electrician install your EV charger. At Refresh NI, all of our Electricians are NICEIC approved so you can rest assured your unit is installed correctly and safely.
Do I need permission to install an EV charger?
You don’t need to seek planning permission for an EV charger. However you do need to inform NIE Networks of your new energy usage. Not to worry, we take care of this for you and complete all of the paperwork for free as part of your install cost.
How to install an EV car charger at home?
Installing an EV charger at home is simple. Begin with a short online survey and tell us a little bit about your proerty and the charger you would like. From there we will provide you with a full quotation and an installation date. Finally, one of our qualified Engineers will install your new EV charger in half a day.
